Just something to share as others may have a scratched glass and wonder if it can be removed.

After searching I bought a dyi kit that is suppose to remove scratches. Happy to report yes it can be done.

Overall it took about 3-4 hours the scratch was deep enough to catch your finger nail in.

I was a bit concerned as I did not want to ruin a nice aquarium.

But all went well. So if it is something that is bugging you. It’s a little work but it can be done...

Company is glass polish

The product xNet

I bought extra pads, just in case.
Basically you use dry pads until you get to the buffing/polishing portion.

There are demos on you tube that is where I seen the product. I used my corded drill so no special
Tools required.

Assuming the kit contained a mix of sand papers and Cerium Oxide for polish?

Did you use several grades of the sandpaper then finish with Cerium Oxide?

I need to do this and have a ton of scratches in a used tank.

Yes abrasive and polish/coarse to smooth...I ordered extra abrasive pads thinking the bare minimal is probably included in the kit. The pads have velcro for attaching to wheel for drill motor. Similar to tools used for metal/body work. Not joking... It is a bit of work. Now that tank is up for 6 months, I do see some fine areas when the light hits just right, so.... It is best to run a bit more even if you think you have it all :) But... Still happy with results
