I noticed the front of my 75 gallon on the right side has these fine scratches going from the bottom of the tank all the way to the top. I’ve had the tank for about 1 year and a couple months. Not sure how long they’ve been there. You can only see them if you are on the ground looking up to the tank. Will those cause any problems?

Nah not usually. Sounds like a piece of sand of coralline got stuck in the mag float when brought back up from the bottom. Structurally no, aesthetically yeah because algae will build up in it. It would have to be a very deep scratch, very visible and could easily feel it with your nail to cause concern.

Thank you for the ease of mind! You can’t see the scratches when looking at it. You literally have to almost put your face on the glass to see how bad it is. I always saw it because I was laying on the ground and looked up. I’ll just keep the glass really clean so no algae build up takes over.

It will only be a problem if you on the ground...looking up! Jokes aside, I would think a scratch will need to be very, very deep before it will become a problem. Fine one, if on the inside, probably happened when you cleaned it and outside of unsightliness not a problem.
