Scratches on my tank

Hi my name is steve I trying saltwater for the first time and I haven't had a fish tank period in long time I bought a 55 gallon glass tank off a really nice dude yesterday and I went home to clean it and like an idiot I took a razor to the dry glass, I guess I was excited and I wasn't thinking and I scratched the glass up a little nothing is to bad and I looked in to cerium oxide which seems to be a good solution but I'm wondering if I should even worry about it most of it is up high and most of it I can't get my fingernail in the grooves just looking for some opinions on this I'm not worried about it structurally just visually you can tell me I'm being ridicules too haha

If they aren't deep enough to even feel them with your nails than After you fill the tank up it will be less noticeable.

That's what I figured I filled it up to see if it had any leaks and the scratches didn't look to bad, you don't think the lights will enhance them?

They might at angles, but you're probably going to get more one way or another, sand on a magnet etc. so maybe wait it out!

Even snails when they drag their shell across the glass can cause small scratches. I clean my glass only up and down but have horizontal scratches. film on glass and angle of viewing can make scratches seem worse than they are.

Im sure you have considered this but are the scratches on both sides? or is one side worse than the other? If its doesn't have overflows I would just put the better looking side to the front and leave it.

Yeah the one side has scratches on both side so I'm planning on putting that to the back just noticed a bigger scratch on the outside of the one side it must have happened when I was tilting it or something, I think I was a little underprepared for it I don't think I took enough time to wrap it up and be a little more careful with it, live and learn I guess
