I’m tired of looking at my current screen top. Thinking of swapping the clear netting out for black. Or should I just go topless? Just a percula clown and a diamond goby in there...

I would keep some sort of cover on the tank. Just about any fish is a potential jumper, and gobies are notorious. Black would absorb more light than the clear, but not by too much.

Really? I’ve never seen it leave the sand bed and goes to his burrow if it ever gets spooked...

I thought clowns weren't jumpers either - then I found my mated pair on the floor. almost everything can/will jump. I never had a top until I lost 2 harlequin tusks in 2 weeks on the floor. Haven't lost a fish since.

It's always a risk, I agree. The only time a clown jumped was literally at me. True story, bounced off my glasses, maroons are mini sharks! From tangs, angels, pygmy angels, gobies, and many others it was wrasses that really jumped IME
