Screw size for X bracket

Whats screw size that holds light on to X bracket (center hole) and also and advise words of wisodom ***** on mounting these lights inside of canopy to the canopy itself ?

I just finished hanging my K7 pro 3's last week. Though i don't know the screw size, I do know that x bracket doesn't lend itself to easy mounting to anything other than the adapter plate included with the full tank mount. I ended up drilling a 5/16" hole in the adapter plate, then mounted it to the x bracket, took that assembly and mounted it to an 80/20 aluminum rail. I hung the rail from the ceiling but it could also be drilled and screwed to a canopy.
Back to that tiny center hole screw. I'd bet all the tea in china that it's metric given the origin of the product.

Center hole of the "x bracket" is M4 x 0.7. The outer four holes are M3 x 0.5.
I drilled and tapped a M4 x 0.7 thread into a standard 90 degree gusset and mounted the bracket to that first and then attached the light to the bracket. Then you can mount the whole thing onto a t-slot frame. At least that's one option.

I originally tried to mount mine by leaving a long screw sticking up out of the x brackets center hole, and with a washer hanging it from a piece of 80/20 rail. With the x bracket just hanging from the center screw and not pulled up tight to anything the x bracket cracked on all of my lights.
So I ended up spacing two rails out to where they lined up with the holes in the light. I then put some longer screws in the light and with some washers hung them from the dual rail. It worked out well and if they’re ever in the way they can be slid down the rail to wherever you want.
If you can mount some aluminum rails in your canopy attaching the lights it fairly easy. If you’re willing to have some holes drilled in the top of your canopy for the screw holes and fans you could probably directly mount them to the top of the canopy.

i was thinking of getting some t channel like this

then finding some t bolts that fit the screw size and slides in channel..

can you show me a pic of what you used ? gusset and track?

@Gtinnel im leaning towards maybe just using machine screw thru top of canopy
