This has been growing for a few weeks in my tank. There is another small piece on the same rock. Hopefully it starts to look like some of the picture I have seen online of it if that's what it is.

theres different variants of padina. the brown and tan is known as peacocks tail and a few other names. padina is actually the family, not the specific coral.
padina pavonica is brown
but there is a purple variant of padina that ive only found once before and heres a sample of what it grows to look like.

Not consistently right now. I do bi weekly 15% water changes and on the off week I dose Fusion 2 part. Mostly zoas and a few LPS and SPS but they haven't really taken off yet.
Having a problem keeping nitrates up enough for the zoas to be happy, hence the bi weekly changes.

well, macro like that pull calcium from the water pretty quickly, just keep testing and ensure youre staying in the right parameters and it should all take off with the proper lights.

Yeah that's what I had read about the coralline. These are at the edge of my LEDs pucks spread and since they showed up a few weeks ago they have been growing pretty good.
