Hey all!!

Got about 1/2 acros and 1/2 chalices. 150 Deep and interested in comments on securing a scrubber or dosing vinegar to control zap nitrates and phosphates. Anyone got any thoughts? Thanks! Dave

If your running a higher Alk, I would be cautious on the Vinegar. Could burn Acro's.

I run a home-made scrubber, and my nitrates are undetectable with API. I love it, even with tap water, I have zero algae problems. Look for a thread by Floyd Turbo in the DIY section for instructions on the DIY algae scrubber. I spend a total of only 30 minutes a week to maintain my tank! (Over) feeding not included!

All depends on what you really want to do. But I'd vodka dose instead of using vinegar. Thats what I do currently, no fuss using a drip system daily.
I like scrubber also, as they will remove more garbage from the system than dosing, but if its not large enough, than you'll end up doing both in the long run.
