sea anemones

why is it that sea anemones are the only coral that doesn't survive in my tank? every other coral does great in my tank but when I try adding a anemone it lasts like a couple od days then it turns inside out and just dies on me. if you have any advice or any idea why it dies in my tank please let me know.

Perhaps they are sick when you get them.

Anemones are not corals and it depends which anemones you get and what corals you have. Some corals are very forgiving, anemones not so much. Some detail about your tank would help including your lights how old it is etc .

I've tried like 3 times and all 3 times they have died, I don't think its that tbh

What species have you attempted in your tank? Each will have varying requirements to thrive.

Also, what are your tank specs: parameters, lighting, water flow?

On the subject of anemones has anyone had a bubbletip stand like this on a rock? Every one I’ve ever had buried it’s foot in a crevice or hole. This one just stands like a toadstool!

A list of all your tank info(lighting, age of tank,...) parameters, how are you acclimating the nem ? What type of anemone are you getting ?

First of all, what type of anemone are you keeping? Follow up quesitons are as previously said, what are your params? How old is the tank? What does the nem look like msot of the time? Do you have any pics of your dead/dying ones?

I have a 13.5 tank, with an aqua knight led light, the tank is prob a year and a half old.

Bit small for the ever sensitive nem, your water chemistry changes to fast for this inhabitant.

To get help I would answer all questions. Keeping something like a bubble tip in tank that small with that light is doable. I’ve had success with that light
