Sea apple problem

hey reefers i have a sea apple for almost a year and these days for the first time somthings comes out of it and i know nothing about it!!
do u know about it?
is it bad or good?

Looks like it's starving and maybe his stomach as a last ditch effort for food. That's awesome you've had it a year but Imo these things shouldn't be sold for aquariums, also when they die they release a poison and will kill everything in your tank

Sea Apples and Sea Cucumbers release the toxin when stressed. If they die of "natural causes" they do not release the toxin. If they get stuck in a powerhead or a fish picks at them then they release the toxin. There is numerous reported cases of sea cucumbers/apples dying and not releasing the toxin. And as someone who has experienced the toxin, you know when they have released the toxin.

Well it happened at night and I kept the tank lights off. The next day though the corals didn't look any different. You will just see you fish acting strange, stressed and breathing very heavy. I wrote about it here- https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/ge...ish-killing-toxin-my-experience-how-deal.html
