Sea Cucumber

Bought a Tiger Tail Sea Cucumber the other day, put him in the tank and he made his way into a hole in the rock and has not moved since. I read where they are nocturnal but he's not moving from that spot. I'm pretty sure he's alive or the crabs would be picking on him.
Anything to worry about with this guy, or should I just let him be.

A number of years ago I had a tiger's tail. I eventually gave it to my adult for his tank, since I also had a red and black and was concerned there wasn't enough food for both. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about yours. Also, don't be a bit surprised if it dissapears for quite some time. At one point I thought mine died because I hadn't seen it in over a year........And then one day it appeared, and I was quite surprised.

I had a salt water tank about a year ago. I had fish and corals. It was my pride and joy. I was quite addicted to it. I had high end corals ( rainbow anemone, my baby)! One day my LFS told me it would be good to purchase sea cucumber ( I realize there are different types), would help keep things clean etc.. a few weeks after that I woke up one morning most of my fish were dead, also my rainbow chalice, zoas...almost everything. And the cucumber was releasing little strings and dying. I lost everything within 2 days. Nnedless to say my experience with SC's isnt great.. I want to get back in to the hobby again so bad!! I will one day for sure. Good luck with your. Lil guy.

Thanks for the info, about a month ago I was able to fish out the Cuc and return him to the LFS for credit. So all is well without the Cuc....
