Sea Cucumber

I have a 36 gallon tank and my husband bought a sea cucumber. We have had it for almost 2 wks now I have not seen it come out from behind the rocks. When I use a flashlight to look at it I swear it seems smaller... anyone experience with these? I have listened to You Tube video's and I am starting to think buying it was a mistake.

What type of cucumber, Tiger Tail by any chance? How old is the tank?

I have a tiger tail and it split into two and they only come out at night and always stay near the rocks. Maybe yours split

Have had them for more then a year they do a nice job of cleaning the sand and have not had any problems with them.
