Sea grass?

Is this sea grass. Brownish color. Grows really slow

I believe, please don't quote me that sea grass is green in color. I would suspect that is some type of micro algae.

Sargassum! That’s the brown macroalgae that keeps washing up in Florida.
The species you have is one of the holdfasted species (possibly Sargassum buxifolium) which sometimes enters the hobby. They are rare due to their flow and lighting requirements and are harmless.

This is true. Seagrasses are true plants that utilize chlorophyll to photosynthesize, which makes them green. Species common in the hobby are also not known to grow on rocks (an exception is Phyllospadix).
