Out of all places this sea hare decided to crawl inside one of my mp40s, it seems to be stuck and its throwing this purple ink ( i am running carbon so i should be fine) i was thinking of simply cutting one of the pieces from the mp40 but what do you guys recommend?

The ink doesn't nuke the tank. Be prepared to empty skimmer a bunch.

These guys are tough especially the dollabella. Let the cage sit. It should crawl itself off the cage if its still healthy.
I would look into foam guards for the wetside.

did he survive??

Sea hare may be ok. They ink when stressed or threatened. A lot of the time they will climb about power heads but won't go into them. Check for damage. I vet its fine and the ink is from you removing power head and messing with it.

I'll repeat sea hare ink WILL NOT NUKE A TANK

Mine was eating around an mj 1200 freaked me out and I tried to remove. It inked and crawled away perfectly fine. I caused it to ink not the power head go figure.
