I bought a sea hare and some Mexican turbo snails a week ago to help combat GHA.
They were all getting on fine until yesterday, as I walked past the tank on my way out about mid day, the sea hare was at the front of the tank munching on algae. I thought this was unusual as its usually hidden during the day and come out during the evening with just the blues on.
I've seen it eating plenty of the GHA.
When I came home a few hours later it was in the same position and it wasn't moving and then I noticed a few of my blue legged hermits were tearing a Mexican turbo from its shell.
Checking on the rest I noticed they were all just led around the edge of the tank, I picked them all up and they had retreated into their shells with the trap door completely shut.
Closer inspection of the sea hare showed its back end had split open and some kind of sack was pushing out.
I didn't get photos as I got it out, confirmed it was 100% dead then wrapped it in a bag in case it exploded.
I did a quick Nitrate test as knew they were susceptable to swings in this and it was only 2 ppm. I then did a 15% water change as that's all the water I had. Some of the Mexicans started moving out of their shells after this.
I've woken up this morning and again they are all just led on the floor and not in their usual position in groups on the glass back of tank.
Did some tests this morning and nothing out of the ordinary.

One point worth making the night before this happened I broadcast fed Reef Roids, usually I spot feed this but havn't had time.
All fish, Anemones, Tuxedo Urchin, Astrea snails, Corals doing fine.
Any ideas what could have caused this?
