So I picked up a Sea Hare at the LFS 4-5 days ago and it is has earned the gold medal in decimating my GHA on the lower level of rocks in my tank. However, I'm wondering if I'm expecting to much outta him to reach the upper levels of my rocks to mow down the GHA? I placed him up on what I'd say is 60% of the way up and just watched him for about 3-4 minutes before he slid off the edge and fell back to the sand. From my view, the hare would have to be a gymnast to reach the upper levels of the rocks. Should I anticipate him figuring out how to get up there? It's not a tall tank 11-13 inches max I'm guesstimating looking at it from across the living room but to the hare is that like Mt. Everest? I'll post some pics of my scape.

He did a good job on the rock on the right and the shelf in the middle. Its the taller rock on the left that I'm wondering if he can get up to? He'd also have to deal with the powerhead on that route

Next two photos are the routes he'd have to take to get to the upper parts of the rocks

What do you think...Do I need to put an escalator in the tank for the Hare or will he figure out how to get up there?

Water is RODI from LFS. I make salt water using RedSea Coral Pro with weekly 10-15% changes. 40 gallon tank
Paremeters have been been checked weekly the last 4 month:
Ammonia: 0, 0, 0, 0
Nitrite: 0, 0, 0, 0
Nitrate: 0, 0, 0, 0
Phosphate: 0, 0, .25, .25
CA: 360, 360, 360, 380
ALK: 9, 9, 9, 8. (Just stated to address this with some reef booster on recommendation from LFS)
Mag: 1140, 1200, 1290, 1380. (I've been following recommendation from LFS and dosing Mag to get this up)
Salt: 1.024 each test

He will get there. Trust me. It’s really fun to watch them “jump” off the side of the tank. They fall in slow motion. Lol

I got one on accident from an online order sending me one a few years ago with my first tank. He went everywhere for food. I didn't have a ton of algae for him to eat so I had to feed him algae sheets from the store. I clipped it on the glass and he always found it with a slugs quickness.
