Sea Hares only for low flow tanks?

Sea Hares seemed like such great options for GHA but after the first one died an hour after putting it in the tank by getting shredded by the gyre, and after I bought mesh guards for the gyre and bought another hare, the second, I guess, got stung by my acans and stayed on them for several hours. After moving it from the coral, it look like it was getting digested. Is that a thing? I didn’t realize corals were that potent to something so big. So, needless to say, I will not be getting another one.

Sea Hares are neat but very sensitive to parameter swings. It's less ownership than it is rental...

I agree but I figured it would survive at least a week. I was planning on returning it once the GHA was gone. Now the spaghetti worms have gotten a hold of it.

Sometimes the "rental period" is measured in days... Honestly, I try to avoid anything that doesn't have claws, spines, shells or tentacles going forward.
