seachem purigen for a salt aquarium?

Hi, i read that seachem purigen does not works with a salt water aquarium, indeed, some similar resins need salt to regenerate them. Any trusty information about this?

Purigen is not intended to work as an ordinary ion exchange resin and works well in seawater to bind organics.

It is likely to bind a slightly different set of organics than is GAC (granular activated carbon), but GAC is essentially a competitor for Purigen.

I've been running Purigen in my marine for a while now, seems to take a lot longer to become saturated than in a fw planted aquarium, but it does seem to take out some yellow out of the water too.
