Seachem test with copper powder?

I have a new fish in quarantine that just started scratching. I am using prime because there is some ammonia in the tanks, can't use cupramine. I will be buying copper powder in the blue bottle. I already have a sechem test kit, will this work with copper powder? Can't find the answer to this anywhere.

I have used the Seachem test kit with Copper Power (not powder) and it worked fine. Not as easy as using the Hanna Colorimeter, and probably not as accurate, but the results are reasonable.
