I have that. It is beautiful, but since running higher no3 and less light, it browned on me. Sensitive to NO3 I think.

What do you keep nitrate and phosphate at?

Edit: Found it - "currently I'm at 5-10 ppm NO3 (hard to tell on salifert) and no higher than 0.10 ppm PO4 (salifert)."

It;s been shooting up some, I have it 15-25 now, getting my reactor dialed back in. PO4 stays at or below 0.10 ppm.

My tank can tolerate elevated nitrate without adverse effect on color, but when my phosphate creeps up, the world ends.

I ordered ten pieces from @Coral Euphoria , including After Dinner Mint and Raspberry Smoothie. I'm stoked.

it's a nice piece from him. Unfortunately, mine has browned out, but recovering. Probably because of two things: increased NO3 after my cyano die off and then didn't retune my sulfur reactor, and drop in PAR.

April marks 14 mos since reboot, and I've endured some losses over the past few months. RIP pretty significant HW colony, 2 RMF LC frags, Matt V PAC wave frag, CC Disney Jr was stn'ing, lost an ORA lauras purple polyps (shaded), BC spainbow (shaded), some random other frags.

Oh yeah, have some minor patches of bryopsis (I think I know where it came from), cyano starting to creep up again, and loved feeding my tangs so much nori that I failed to realize how much PO4 it was adding. I usually don't let my PO4 creep past 0.10 ppm, but when I decided to test again it was showing near 0.50 ppm on salifert! Which probably means it was even higher! No wonder I was having some brown outs, and green outs!

But out of the bag of bad, there is some good. I added an 8 foot row of t5, running GE 6500k for four hours, and then upped my whites some, getting back to when I noticed the best color and growth about 8 months ago. A straight AB ratio wasn't cutting it. I've noticed a huge turn around with bringing my PO4 down again with more rowaphos and the added spectrum and less shading.

Lost a few anthias but also added a blonde naso, IO yellow belly Regal, and a clown Tang (hopefully it makes it). Until next month or so, during this stupid COVID issue. Stay safe.

Wow, thank you for the update and all the pretty pics. Some truly righteous colors you have in that collection. Jealous!
Curious how you source your frags. Fellow local & remote hobbyists? Which big online folks? Obviously the regional frag swaps are done for a while.
Sadly I missed the last one they had in my area -- but on the bright side I was skiing some deep powder in Utah at the time so shouldn't complain too much.

Looking great! I actually lost a few of my favorite pieces the last few months and have been REALLY discouraged.lost a beautiful Indo frogspawn, my Duncan, ASD hyper jubilees. All favorites I’ve been growing out for years. More room for sticks I guess....

Thanks bud, yeah the losses suck, but I can’t say for certain other than what I think it’s from. I think two things are to blame: the shift in lighting (reduced par and change in spectrum- the bane of LEDs for me; reduced par to 425-450, and lessening the white channel to run AB+ made it dim to my eyes but also there was shadowing, maybe the colonies are just getting too big) and the increase in PO4. I saw some browning and greening which I attributed mainly to the change in lighting, but I stuck it out for a few months. Then decided to feed a whole sheet of nori every day for about a month which made my po4 skyrocket. I think these two things affected a few of my colonies and frags. All seems to have stabilized now

I mainly get them from literally two local guys that I trust, namely @Coral Euphoria , and a select 3 that I’ve met on R2R. I haven’t bought any from local shops at all, and I’m really tempted to set up a separate tank for indo stuff, but prices and what’s happening now won’t permit it. I’m sure your ski trip was well worth missing out on some frags. Maybe not. Lol

Are you talking about that big ole 6” Mille colony? If so, that’s @ycnibrc ’s “Star is Born” Mille. It’s really nice, and grows quickly.
