I am redoing my seahorse tank. About a month ago, I lost my two seahorses and was pretty bummed about it. I was able to narrow down the issue to bad saltwater that I was using. Over the past month, I have contemplated many times about just giving up on keeping seahorses. However, I have decided that is not an option. I have been doing water changes and working on getting the tank back in shape over the last month and will be adding the first seahorses next week.
I plan on keeping the stock list simple with a pair of hybrid seahorses (h. reidi x h. erectus), a green mandarin and a bangaii cardinal. I am upgrading the lighting to an Apollo cube LED fixture. I will also be adding some easy, seahorse friendly from my reef to the seahorse tank.
I will keep this thread updated with my progress.

. Will pick up a 46g bow front this week and get it started. Hoping the stand will allow a decent sump so I can get another pair. I'm really looking forward to planning this one. It will be several months before I'm willing to move my current ponies but the planning will be fun I think. We can take this journey together
