Seahorse tank

Hey y’all currently have a seahorse tank and this is happening on one of the sides of the tank! Any idea if this type of growth is bad? Tank is 2 months old

That’s just some brown algae probably from the fact your tank is new and the flow is low. I suggest some nassarius and nerite snails for that.

How stable is your tank? Ze stars can be sensitive

dwarf seahorses I hope.
A 15 is too small for normal seahorses, and too small for a sand sifting star. In fact, they are both sensitive and advanced animals, and you are asking beginner questions. For the animals sake, I hope you have done your due diligence.

Yes anything to turn over sand bed will be highly beneficial to your aquarium

THE seahorses are dwarf is you took the time to go through my other post you would see that. My bad for not mentioning. I have a pair of dwarf seahorses, I have a sand sifter in my 30 gallon and have had it for 4.5 months. I honestly have alot of sand for 15 gallons.

update: the female has died when I was removing it it looked like it was half white in the uppermost and brown on the bottom half, it’s tail was stuck in a curl position
