Can seahorses live a a sump with macro algae, mud and the drip from the ato? The ato drips fresh water and kalkwasser. I also dose vinegar into the sump.

You shouldn’t dose or have the ATO dispensing into the refuge. Have the ATO go to the return compartment, and dosing in the area with the skimmer.
And your Seahorse will love the pods in the refuge

Viral and bacterial infections are the difficulty with seahorses. Sumps are a gravity filter. So all the yuck goes down and stays there.

So in a general sense (standard set up,) no, I don’t think it’s a good idea.

I think you're right. There's quite a bit of detritus in the sump too. So I'll wait. Maybe someday I'll start a separate system just for seahorses. [emoji225]

I bought longer tubing last night and now I have the ato dispensing in the first chamber by the skimmer. No wonder I was having problems getting macro algae to stay alive in there! Thanks for the tidbit of information. I learn something new every day on this forum. [emoji245]
