I consider myself to be very lucky and I am very grateful. The experience definitely taught me a few things. I am going to be more prepared in the future.

One thing that I have noticed since I upgraded the tank is that my clowns are extremely active. Before, they would each hang out in their own corner of the tank. Now, they are all over the tank.

Being prepared is my #1 goal since all repairs are made by myself. In addition to living out in the middle of no where.
I have a spare for pretty much everything.
I have been in your shoes many years ago.
We had a power outage of over 24 hours on one of the coldest days I can remember.
My nerves were frazzled watching my aquarium and unable to help .
I now have a whole house generator. Smaller ones are very cheap. Especially when you compare the losses.

Strange about the clowns...guess that is why they are called Clowns lol!

The tank is still holding steady. I keep thinking about what to add and then I keep changing my mind. One thing I am thinking about doing is taking my canister filter offline and relying on my skimmer and HOB fuge. The fuge is a CPR large one. Decisions...decisions.
