Do you know what drives the temp up?Well I'm starting to rethink my 29 for seahorses because I can't keep it under 78 in the summer... I've kept it at u4 for about 2 weeks now. Maybe put a puffer fish??

Yeah, if your tank gets that warm maybe it is best if you reconsider seahorses. Treating ailing ponies is no fun.Well I'm starting to rethink my 29 for seahorses because I can't keep it under 78 in the summer... I've kept it at u4 for about 2 weeks now. Maybe put a puffer fish??
You are welcome. I hope you and your mom enjoy the pipe fish! They are cool too. My tank has a flag fin banded pipe that is captive bred. I bought him from Ocean Rider the same time I got the seahorses and i enjoy it as well.Thank-you for the info. My mom loves seahorses and I have been thinking about setting her up a tank for them. I got the pipefish because they are a middle ground so to speak lol. More successful in reefs but still have that seahorse quality.
No, you can not keep any puffers with seahorses. All puffers are nippers and a seahorse is much too slow and docile to prevent that. One quick thing as well. You cannot successfully keep any puffer in a 29 gallon tank
