Oh I just pulled a stupid move. I am curing some Pukani rock in a tub (50lbs). I tested out some high Phosphates so I hear that SeaKlear was good to use to precipitate it out. I went to my spa shop and saw SeaKlear and grabbed it and went home and added it (6oz) to my tub with rock. Just then it hit me wait...is there more then one type of Seaklear? Sure enough I used Natural Clarifier which is NOT Phosphate Remover.

I just did a 100% water change on the rock. Drained everything real good. Should I be overly concerned? I was planning to have this rock sit for another month or so before going into my established reef tank. I will do at least one more 100% water change in the next month.

Thanks!

Oh and I have no idea what Natural Clarifier is. I know I have used it in my hot tub and it makes the filters better able to clear the water.

Thanks! Yeah I am newbie to this. I wasn't overly worried due to not being in my display tank. But was not sure of the long term effects. Now back to the spa shop for the right stuff!!!!
