Searching for a tank

I'm looking at starting a 55 gallon FOWLR. Originally I had looked at acrylic tanks, but after more consideration, I decided to go with glass. Any recommendations for brands? I am fine with just a tank; no kit needed.

First off, welcome to R2R.... You should be able to have all your questions answered. If this is new to you, maybe a 55G from Petco, they where having their $ per Gallon sale, and it might be still on going. Then in the future upgrade to maybe a bigger tank, or one with better glass. In my area which is Middle TN, the sale is still on going with a 55G at $70.

Now if you want to have a sump, you would have to drill the back or bottom of the tank, and Aqueon tanks are not always easy to drill, as most have a tempered bottom, and sometimes tempered backs.

I was very impressed with Planet Aquariums when I got a chance to see some in person. But I don't know of many stores that carry them.

They're based in Texas, but I had never heard of them until a month ago.
