I am moving to Clarksville TN, in a couple of months and as I start down the path of finding an lfs I thought I should ask the opinions of the local reefers. So I have a few questions, the first is would this club be close? Is there a closer one? I saw that there was also a western Tennessee reef club but it doesn't look very active at least through the forums. From the location of the frag swap you don't seem to be very far but how close is that to where you normally meet?
lastly, what is your favorite lfs? Knowledge and experience is invaluable int this hobby and great customer service is always pleasant.

Thanks

p.s. Im quite sad I wont be there in time for the frag swap... seems like such a great way to restart my tank!

MTRC is going to be your best bet. It will be about an hour southeast of you. There used to be a smaller club in your area but I don't see much activity up that way anymore, maybe someone else knows something I don't as far as that goes. If I'm not mistaken there at least a couple of people up your way. The West TN club will be about 3 hours drive from Clarksville. The two best LFS around here are the Aquatic Critter and Emerald Bay fish and reptiles.

Thanks Fishdoc! I dont mind driving about an hr once in a while, daily is a different story! Once every few weeks for good times with tanks, I'm absolutely ok with it.

Just what Fishdoc said. Downtown Nashville you have the Critter and Emerald Bay east. Both are pretty good stores. If Luis sees this he will be able to fill you in a little better on the scene in Clarksville. He has recently sold his setup but knows tons and is a good guy.

Thanks, Roadrashpaul. Do you guys know where the stores get their stock from? I tried their websites but they aren't updated well... probably too busy taking care of the stock. It's not all important or anything, just curious is all.

Maybe calling his name three times will get Luis to show up?

You know, that is a good question. I am not sure where there fish come from. Yes both websites are VERY lacking.

Luis is active military so he is very busy. I will send him a pm and see if he will chime in on this. Are you military? Is that why you are moving from Japan to Clarksville?

My wife is still enlisted. I get to be a stay home dad for a bit while I finish my degree, and play with tanks while i'm at it.
