5 minutes later he ate himself out lol.

Small chance of that! Sea snake venom is one of the most potent on the planet. I give credit to that diver, I always swam Away from any sea snakes while diving. Although they're seldom known to bite a person, the knowledge that sea snake antivenin is extremely rare was enough for me to find another point of interest!

Have you ever seen the Imax Movie "Coral Reef Adventure"? (It is on Netflix instant streaming) The girl diver grabs a sea snake and handles it like it is a corn snake from the back yard LOL!

-------------------------------

Kinda creepy when the eel is moving inside of the sea snake. :squigglemouth:

Wow so hungry at the end he was looking at the diver like he had room for him to

Impressive. I usually think of sea snakes (I believe that was a banded sea krait?) as clumsy and slow, because I am used to seeing them out of their element. As a snake and fish lover, I had mixed emotions about that one. I am surprised the moray fought as hard as he did, given the potency of that snake's venom.

Wow. Couldn't believe how fast that seasnake gulped down the eel!

That was crazy!

I want one, wonder if it's reefsafe?

Crazy not getting eaten head first, had to seem strange to the eel.

I am not sure if true or not but I was told once that morays do not have a developed neuro system compared to humans. If you have a weak neuro system then neurotoxins have little effect. Many years ago I witnessed a scorpion fish sting a black edge moray in my tank. The sting knocked the blackedge back about a foot then it dove straight into the rock work; shaking violently. 10-20 seconds later it emerged from the rock VERY UPSET; mouth wide open and looking for the scorpion. The next morning the black edge was fine but there was only a skelaton & spines left of the scorpion fish.

The sea snake may have won, but I bet it had some nasty bite wounds on its body!
