As the seasons change and daylight decreases what do people do? In the summer I was running a 12 hour ramp up and down. I was thinking about decreasing this to about 8 hrs. Thoughts?

Your tropical animals come from the tropics, which on the equator is basically a 12 hour day/12 hour night...all year long.

No need to change your lighting for the seasons unless you want to specifically imitate a more northernly or southernly reef area.

I mimic uk weather mainly because my tank is by a window and in my dining room, if I have to go downstairs early in the morning it's to bright for my sleepy eyes
