Unfortunately the starfish is dying. How long have you had it?

Unfortunately the starfish is dying. How long have you had it?

1 week. This is not my first sea star. But the time i move it, the sea star just move whitout this chunk off whatever, i just remove this weird think. Look like huge worm that the star was eathing. But its like imposible that a worm that big can be in the tank all dry rock and all sps and fish got a hard inspection dip and quarantine befor going in the tank for year. Can she just split it out what she was eathing befor go in the tank ?
