Good afternoon!

I am new here and new to the reef and community.

Looking to get a Seastar this Sunday. What supplements or vitamins do I need for my tank? How do I take care of one I already know that they cannot tolerate copper

I have so many questions pertaining my aquarium. But for starters let's start with the Seastar.

Some info about your setup would help. Like tank size, when you started it, how you cycled it, what is the current livestock and plan ie fish only or coral too.
Is that pic the exact starfish you want?
Different star fish, have different requirements..

OK I have a small tank for a few reasons. One, I knew nothing about saltwater tanking and because I am going to move soon so I have a 29g with a canister filter.

What's in my tank is a tomato clown fish, a hippo tang, a yellow tang, an emeral crab, a couple snails( less then 10) One acopora SPS, 2 mushrooms, a hammer SPS, Acan and another Coral that I don't know the name of. Everything in my tank is very small even though it sounds like it's a lot.

The tank is already cycled and I had the tank for six months. I cycled the tank with a shrimp ( the kind that we eat) while running my filter ( I used a different filter before I got the canister filter ). Also I sprinkled food in the tank every day.

No that's not an exact photo of the starfish. But it's from the same family of starfish that the store is holding for me, "Fromia".

Ok, For Fromias I think it is generally recommended to wait until the tank is more mature, like a year so there is plenty of microfauna and algea film for them to eat. But maybe someone else can chime in on that.

On a side note, I am afraid you are going to have some aggression issues develop between your current fish. That clownfish alone will claim the whole tank.. And the tangs will need a much larger home, are you planning to upgrade once you move?

Is that a six line wrasse in there too? They can be little buggers..

Oh yes I forgot to mention him. You have a good Eye

And I will upgrade to a bigger tank once I move. 135g that's the size for the hippo tang. But both my tanks a very small right now. Yes I know that that tomato clown can be aggressive. I'm looking to trade it in for a clown that's less aggressive.
