Seaweed in a Tank?

I found a tank I want to go look at this weekend. One thing that Ive never seen in a home reef tank is seaweed. The description says its "established seaweed" any ideas based on the picture? I hope I can pick it off the rocks and it goes away if I get the tank

Looks like caulerpa it can grow everywhere in your tank but i dont mind it. Its a good filter.

Most call it macroalgae instead of seaweed. It's more common in sumps and refugiums and is a great way to manage the nitrate and phosphate that pest algaes thrive on.

Is it something easily picked off the rocks to clean it up or will it grow right back?

This is fairly easy to remove. It will grow back if you don't get all the shoots that might be in that rock. The good news is that reef flux will kill it if you can't get rid of it manually.

Yep. It can be picked off the rocks. Some of your clean up crew will also be happy with it. If you have an algae-eating fish, that'll be an auto feeder for it.
