Hands will be fine. What size tank and what lights do you have? And they like the sandbed.

I don't think you're lighting is sufficient. Can you post a picture of the anemone? Is this your first? IME they're one of the hardest to keep, behind Ritter and carpets.

He looks severely bleached to me, my 55 gallon runs a current nova extreme T-5 HO with 4 bulbs and individual reflectors. I brought one back from near death. It looked like this

Mouth gaping, no stickiness to it
Here it is now

Nice long tenticals, as sticky as honey and dark brown in color. I'd return it to where you bought it, to recover from that it would need feedings, and high light.

I took a bubble tip that was very sick and brought it back to health. It's in a 75 with 4, 4 foot T5's. It's since split in two and ready to split again. You just need to feed them mysis shrimp once a week and never make drastic changes to your water. Always adjust things slowly over a day or three.

This really is not a clear photo and is picking up a lot of yellow from reflection. It is difficult to tell if this anemone is bleached or not. It may surprise you.

I'm fairly certain it is bleached. Even with the yellow it looks to white.
