So a little over a month ago I got a bleached Sebea (knowingly, but were do you find one that isnt!?) He has been settled in, attached, sticky, eating and all signs of good health. I have a biocube 29 with an AI prime mounted directly on the canopy. A couple weeks ago thinking the anenome may need more light, I reinstalled the factory pc lights/fan. One 36w 10k and one 36w actinic. Thats right around 100w total. Everything else in the tank is lps/softies. I turned it off because the dust algae on the glass grew so quickly i feared I was about to have a major outbreak... And the temp raised obviously. Not bad, and almost natural i think. It would swing from about 76-77 at night to 80.
I just put a fluval ps2 skimmer in chamber 2 hoping that may help prevent the glass algae.
The question is, is it worth it/beneficial to the sebea to turn these lights back on? Or is the prime enough?
