So I have this 1G cube that I got an order from Reef Cleaners but I keep going own a rabbit hole of how much money I am going to spend and honestly I might just cancel the order and not do a saltwater tank. I feel like I have a very specific idea in mind (Florida live rock/biotope) and it wouldn't make sense to cut corners on it if im not loving it ya know?

There are some people, who have beautiful "Pico Reef", but I would not recommend 1G container as a first saltwater tank. In a matter of fact wouldn't recommend it for freshwatwer tank either.

On a 1 gallon I would assume more time would be spent than money. But why waste either if you aren’t feeling it? I do think you could house some sweet mushrooms and zoas for cheap.
Not too bad maintaince wise, it’s more just like money side. I did kinda have a realization that after I get the bigger tank (3gallon cube), live rock/sand I will pretty much have my whole setup done. So besides like a few extra fun inverts or a second fish I should be fine.

Not my first saltwater or freshwater. I know what I’m doing, just first time doing it on a college budget
