Seccond night in a row my little **** of a diamond goby jumped out of the tank. Getting tired of this ****. Any tips?

By the way he jumped out of this hole.

They really are houdinis lol. Is that the only opening in the top of tank? Maybe try to cover it with mesh netting ?
 
Wow, they are determined! Maybe try a grommet or cap off of Amazon to block the hole?

That pic is right after he jumped out, I’m thinking about it just not sure how I would secure it with no gaps, I smothered the gap with electrical tape for now.
 
I found my clown twice after he jumped out of a hole about that size. The 2nd time he nearly baked himself to death on one side. He hasn't jumped since thankfully. I would mesh that hole if you have to attach it with hot glue or something. Luckily mine stopped jumping but I always worry about it.
 
The second time around I would ask, what size is the tank and what other fish are in the tank?
 
Anytime I have small holes like that I just pick up a piece of acrylic from Home Depot and cut to fit. Still looks clean and takes care of any gaps.
