You dont HAVE to buy what they put on their wish list. You can buy them whatever you want to. Check out their post history for ideas if they're not responding to messages. Otherwise wing it and get something that youd like for your tank. You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars for this, it's all just for fun

That sucks, don't play into someone who isn't taking the spirit of it correctly. Fund a creative idea to stay in your comfortable price range.
