Seeding new biomedia - how long will it take?

Moving to a sump system soon so I bought some ceramic plates.

Anyone have an idea the approximate time I should wait for it to seed from my established tank?

If it matters the "old" tank is a 20g with a decent amount of sand and a few larger sized rocks as well as some MarinePure Gem's in the back compartment.

I am curious about this too... I plan on upgrading soon and need to do something simalar.
My est would be a minimum of 2 weeks.
