R2R,
hello, Good Morning, Afternoon, Night pending on where you are. Question for you guys. I am going to be putting my 210 up within the next month or month and a half. Can I throw 8” X 8” X 4” PLATE CERAMIC BIOMEDIA in my sump now leave it for the time being until I am ready to put it in my tank's sump? I want to seed the tank. Current 150 has been running for 2 years.
the block can be found here.

Please let me know. Thanks.

You mean add it to an empty tank? Nothing much will happen if the tank doesn’t have some organisms growing in it.
Well i want to first put it the sump thats been running my 150 for the last two years. I hope to then
put it in my new 210. The rock will be cured and all but I want to real bacteria from an established system. There will be fish in the 210 btw lol.

That sounds like a fine and useful plan.

Last question. Do I have to put the seeded block in my tank or can it go in the sump and be just as effective? I ask because I might get a piece of BRS reef saver rock and put it in the sump of my current 150 too. however I don't want the rock in the 210 but don't mind it going in my refugium portion of the 210's sump. I want to ensure the bacteria will still benefit me if I am using it this way in the sump.
