Noticed some of my acro tips are peeling and tissue is disappearing. Even on my Digi colony which is pretty hardy. Been watching params closely, but can’t figure out what’s going on. I know my nutrients are a hair high, but not high enough to really cause my issues. I had a recent ICP test come back with high chlorine..I have never used any rodi water with anything above 0 TDS. Curious to here your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

What is your water change schedule? I'd think the high chlorine might be a problem, but I'll defer to the experts here and follow along to learn.

a little more info here. Weekly water changes approx 10 gallons on about 90 total water volume. Only changes made was adding T5 combo fixture to my LEDs about 6 months ago.

I would see if changing your water with a different source like from the LFS for a month or so improves anything.

How old are your RO/DI filters and membrane? Chloramines can seep through and not be detected in the TDS. If they are older than 6 months, change them and I would recommend using a good chlorimine prefilter like one BRS sells.

T! So glad you said that. I haven’t changed my membrane in 2 years! It’s def due for a new one. Guess I can start there. I asked some local folks about that but didn’t seem that I would still be showing 0TDS!

My membranes go for 3-5 years which is normal. I would change your prefilters. Every 6 months religiously and add a chloramine prefilter with lots of catalytic carbon in it.
