Seemingly lethargic snowflake eel, thought was dead is not, what wrong with him?

He was active and moving around last night. Fed him a fairly big meal last night of frozen krill. Woke up today he head is sticking out and he wasn’t moving. 8 hours later still in the same place with a slight move, but appeared to be current moved his head. Tapped on the glass nothing, feed everyone else no movement. Finally got tongs to remove him, I touch the rock he near and he shots back into his hole.

All other fish and corals seem to be fine

Any reason for this?

Water is

Little cooler 74.9 degrees
Salt is 2.3ppm
Ammonia is a bit high at .5ppm
Nitrite is 0
Nitrate is a little high at 20ppm

I just dosed chemiclean to kill red cyno and cycled the water last week, I think that why my nitrates are a little high.
Also threw a little aquavitro seed in to help with bio filter a few days ago.

Is he ok just nursing a full belly? Or could something be wrong?

I was thinking of doing a water change today to lower some levels.

Thanks!

Do you know the pH of the water? That has a huge bearing on how toxic the 0.50 ppm ammonia will be. For your salinity, can you check that number? Also, can you count how many breaths the eel takes in one minute?

Thanks!

the salinity is 33 or right between 1.024-1.025

The high range pH is at 8.0

sadly the eel is under his rock and I can not see him currently.
