Did you transfer the sand over to your new tank?

No. All new dry sand. Just rinsed really well. Plenty of rock and low bioload. I am in the middle of what was to be expected. A diatom bloom. It's sand only. So I've just been stirring sand and allowing the filter floss to catch all the junk and changed every day or two. Working well so far.

Yeah unfortunately I will also be getting all new sand unfortune for my wallet good for the tank. What sand did you go with

Just bought my 60# tropic eden 88$ ouch

Did you add sand after it was full

Just added the new gyre controller on my xf150. Was going to add another xf250 to the mix, but seller sent the xf230 instead, so it'll be a few before add second pump. Some current tank shots while I was working on the tank.

Installed the upgraded gyre controller this past Sunday. Great new addition. Was supposed to get the second gyre, but they sent the wrong one. Correct unit should be here tomorrow. Can't wait to get the most out of these units. The one has been great so far, just wanted to add some more randomness to the mix since stepping up to the sps table.
