I'm buying a chalice that has a big white swirl that runs across a section of it. I asked be shop owner to make my frag out of the part that had the swirl. I know in the past I've been able to cut out certain colors from lps. I had a fire and ice war coral and cut a frag of just the red. Everything that grew off the red piece had non of the white pigments. I also did this with bowerbanki Acans. I got a colony of red ones that a few had green stripes running through the red. I cut these out and now all that grow have the stripes. Lastly I have chalice frags that as they grow they get the proper rims as they develop. But what about the middle of the chalices? If one has a swirl through it and I get a piece without the swirl, will it appear later?
