Seller not responding after payments made

Not sure who to reach out to but I recently purchased some items from a long time member here on R2R. After payment was sent through PayPal I was told that the item would be shipped out in a day or two. On the second day I asked if the itemwas sent out yet and was told they were but receipt was left in his car and that he was he would get back to me with tracking number. I reach out to him twice already for tracking number but haven’t heard from him since. its been about a week since I’ve heard back. What should I do?

Hopefully you followed the forum rules and purchased the item as goods and services through PayPal. If you did just file a claim with PayPal

Dang. Hopefully it’s just weather, work, or kids that’s the holdup. No doubt he/she should keep in touch with you at least until the tracking has been sent. Maybe others will chime in. Good luck!

Payment was sent through PayPal as goods and services. I’m very new to all this and all my transactions have been great so far. I just emailed him through PayPal. Hope he responds soon.

Then don't worry. If he isn't responding go through PayPal claim. You money is safe.

But the seller seems to be showing as community member and hope he answers your msg. Probably he is having some issues.

With that being said. You money is 100% safe if you did Goods and service. Just it will take time.

Thanks guys for all the responses. I’m gonna give it a couple of days. Hope the item shows up or he responds by than. If not I’ll just have to file a claim with PayPal. As long as I know the money is safe that gives me piece of mind.

Seems a few people bought items from the same seller. Why not PM the other people and see if they are in the same situation.

As a member from TX, where is this person located? We got about 5" of snow around our house Sunday night & were able to get back on the roads just today. Most people around had no power or at the very least were dealing with rolling black outs. My office has been closed all week.... its been crazy. FB is full of people who lost everything, both reefing & their houses due to pies busting. Just saying, give them the benfit of the doubt... S happens.

I don't know where he is from so I think wait for this week. Also, you paid through paypal so you should be fine. I bought a light from someone last week and he sent me the USPS tracking. It was supposed to arrive today but now it says delayed. In current condition its very hard to predict how the mailing service will work. Just keep trying to reach him and wait few days before you file the claim.

So another member just pm me that purchased an item from him on the same thread. Everything he told me lines up exactly as far as day of shipping and last day of commutation. He received his item a day late. I’m sure everything is ok now. Thanks guys
