After giving it a considerable amount of thought my wife and I are going to exit the hobby. In and out for over 30 years but age is catching up and we have other things to do. Having said that I have a great aquarium set up for grabs, well for sale actually. All the equipment, live rock, coral, fish is in excellent condition. No pests, no disease, no scratches, perfect! This tank has been up and running for almost 2 years (2 years in July). I have at least $10k in this set up not that it matters for resale but just for a point of reference. I posted this on a local forum but I want to cast a wider net so to speak. This is not situation where we are going to sell things piece meal. It is an all in deal.

Nice clean looking setup! Sorry to see you go, but enjoy the rest of your journey!

On android mobile... I can't see a price if there is a price listed....

Yeah. For anyone entering the hobby and thinking “$3,000 is a lot of money”. holy cow..... this is a steal

Unfortunately I am guessing someone will buy it, and sell off all the livestock for $3k alone......

It is an extremely low price. My wife tried to price the live stock based on prices that we paid over the past year or so and came up with $5500 so even at 50% it would cover the purchase price of the whole set up. I know that used equipment is not worth any thing close to new prices but when you buy stuff it sure adds up fast. I kept pretty good purchase records from day one and I have over $4000 in equipment. We tried to price it to sell realizing that we were limiting the market by not piecing things out or fragging, but there is little doubt a person could make money by doing just that. I have never had a need to accept PayPal but that may be an option for someone that doesn't have the money in the bank but I would add the cost to the sale price. In the meantime we are still enjoying the tank and the worst thing that can happen is the corals will just keep growing and perhaps I will sell them all as colonies and make out a lot better.

I ordered some critters to freshen up my CUC so that should get me a buyer:)

Thank you for the kind comments. It really is a beautiful tank. Not as grown up as a TOM but a year from now it might be a contender.

If you split up, how much for Reefbreeders 48” Photon V2+ light and coral prices and would you ship any coral? Shipping coral via a trusted pet store assures safety

Hey man, no can do. I am not shipping anything. Aren't you moving to FL?

yes and cant wait but in a little over two years.(great memory you have !! )

I have had a few inquires about selling the live stock separate from the tank and equipment. Initially, I was reluctant to do this but I have reconsidered. The price for livestock only, pick up only is $2000. It would be way too much work for me to pack and ship.

We did our weekly cleaning and water change and everything is looking great. I can't believe that someone doesn't want a massive amount of very nice corals cheap. I wish this had been available when I re-entered the hobby, would have saved me several $1000's. Anyway everything is growing so I suppose at some point we will have to sell individual pieces (colonies).
