Hey guys ,
I am current moving out of my house because I just became a nurse. I have a beautiful stocked 75 gallon and want to sell it and start a new tank at my new home. I rather start from scratch than move all of this over to my new house. Is it possible to up and sell the entire tank? Has anyone seen anyone do this before ? I have beautiful expensive corals and nice equipment and would love to just sell all of it for a large sum at a good price. Interested in hearing your ideas!

When I was first looking at buying a salt water tank I thought about buying one already up and running. However the reason I didn't was because the following two reasons

First I didn't know how much it was really going to cost and seeing ads for 500.00 to 1200.00 for a tank, was crazy! But now I know why people were asking so much

Second I didn't want to bring home somone else's problem! If you know what I mean.

so to answers question I haven't seen much success in people selling complete units.

I would try and sell everything peice by peice -I think you'll have better luck! Start with your live stock then equipment and so on.

Good luck either way! And congrats !

People sell complete systems all the time. The problem is that you know what you paid for/put into the system, and selling it for a fraction of that will definitely sting!

If you are trying to get your money back selling it all at once best of luck to you.

If possible I would suggest taking your time and piecing it out, livestock first then equipment.

I say keep it all or at least the equipment . Sell livestock rock and whatever you don't want or want to change then move the rest and start a new

+1

I second keeping the equipment too

When I started saltwater, I had three tanks; I sold and setup the 20 gallon to a local business, gave away the five and converted the 55 into my current saltwater...well my girlfriend did, it was my birthday and I told her instead of a present to help me convert the tank :)

I have just sold my complete set up

I had no choice as have to move as landlord sold the house
