Seltz D 1600 VS. Varios-4

Gonna upgrade my various 2 to either D1600 or Varios4. Not many reviews on the 1600 and my Varios 2 has been absolutely perfect. There is a 100.00 difference and they both seem extremely similar. I don’t need the 0-10 plug and I am ok with the shorter feed time of the Hydor. 180 vs. 280 my question is the Reef Octo worth it?

Agreed. Return pumps are crucial to most setups and reliability is worth a lot. They hydro pump may be perfectly fine but I'd tend to go with a known quantity and let other people test the new guy.
