For reference: 40B AIO I made, build thread has all the details. Predominantly zoa + some livestock (anemone, two clownfish, a bandit shrimp, lawnmower blenny).

Recently I had a pretty nasty GHA and bubble algae outbreak occur within my tank, and after using Vibrant for about a month I didn't really notice much of a difference.
I did some recent testing in my tank on Sunday, here are the stats:

- Salinity: 1.026
- Nitrate: 25
- Nitrite: 0
- Ammonia: 0
- Phosphate: 0.07
- Magnesium: 1050
- Alkalinity: 9.8
- Calcium: 450
- PH: 7.8-8.1

I was keeping my magnesium at 1400-1500, and also consistently monitoring it with a Neptune Trident. I recently sold the Trident and went back to manual testing, which I didn't do for ~2 weeks due to everyone being sick with the flu (more on that below).

Anyhow, on Sunday I started dosing Magnesium along with Red Sea NoPox (you can see where this is going). Magnesium I was following Randy's calculator, dosing no more to bring up about 100ppm a day, and NoPox I started dosing a 1ml.

Yesterday, I was completely stuffed up and tired.. I completely screwed up and dosed 100ML of NoPox instead of 1ML. This was an error I made obviously, mixing up the two bottles that were right next to each other. I was so stuffed I didn't catch the smell until a good three minutes afterwards.

As a reaction I did the following:

- Immediate change of 15 gallons of water
- Added ~100ML of Brightwell Purit, which is something I do rotate in from time to time.
- Today I did another 10 gallons of water, as I noticed the bacteria bloom really kick in around ~5am when I left to the gym.
- Halted all dosing with the exception of All for Reef, which I dose at 4ml over 24 hours.

The white cloud of doom seems to be dying back a bit, and the inhabitants of the tanks seem OK with the only loss being an urchant, along with a chalice coral (that was already doing pretty poor). Is there anything else I should be watching out for? I was able to take the PH up from 6.8 (initial drop) to ~7.4-7.6.

**EDIT**

I should also note that I have turned my skimmer up in hopes to help clear out some of the bacteria from the bloom.

Why the NoPox? Your no3 and po4 aren’t bad and WC’s are an easier solution to get the numbers down a bit.

It was a local recommendation to help with the GHA, and it was recommended at low dosages. That being said, I am 99% sure the GHA was caused by my lack of maintenance on the Magnesium... which does fall in line to when it started.

I have learned my lesson, and water changes it is :) Any idea how much more I should change? I looked now and the cloudiness is starting to finally clear.

Bacterial blooms are more detrimental to fish than anything else as it depletes oxygen. You seem to be fish light so you could let the bloom just get cleared out with filtration/skimming. You may want to add an airstone to ensure the fish have sufficient oxygen just to be sure.

Fish and other inverts look fine. PH is now 7.6, and the water is getting more and more clear. I am doing ~5g a day of water change. I will say, my BTA was fine but is now missing. I am hoping it comes back soon, it was getting so big :/

Thanks again all. Appreciate the feedback, ensuring I am not loosing my mind.
