I changed all the cartidges on my 6 stage rodi u it. And i get 1 in and 0 out. And the sendinent filter changed to that brown color under 2 months. Is that means i have to change it now? It changes to that color pretty quick

At our shop the sediment filter is snow white after 6 months. At other locations it can be chocolate brown after two weeks. It all depends upon how much UNdissolved solids you have in your water.

That's the situation we see at the location of on of our customers.

To make this situation more convenient for them we added an additional housing to their commercial RO system. The feedwater hits the new housing and filter before it gets to the RO. The RO has its own 5 micron filter and we added a 20" x 4.5" 10 micron filter in the new housing. The new housing has a pressure gauge before and after.

If you have a pressure gauge before and after the sediment filter you should use that.

Color change really isn't indicative of any flow reduction.
