Hello,

I'm considering to buy a seneye reef device for the inbuilt PAR meter. Anyone here who has used it before and would recommend it?

If there is any other suggestions to measure PAR, always welcome!

The Seneye works great. If you have a APEX there is the PMK that's better.

Thanks mate, i would only use it to dial in my light settings.

I don't have an APEX controller yet, something for in the future.

Also purchased one just for the light measurements, no regrets. It's awful hard to guess to the PAR, it's nice to measure and record it and changes to your logbook. It's one of those things that ideally you could split between 3 local friends since you rarely you it.

Thanks for the input guys! I got convinced, i'm going to order one right now!

It's indeed verry hard to guess the par light by our sight, especially the blue lighting i have a real hard time to guess the "right" amount of intensity.

The slide is only for ph and ammonia testing? So basically it's a one time cost for a good PAR meter.

I got one also but i find you gotta play with it at every spot you measure to angle it right at the lights. I wonder if the apogee sensor has to be angled as well?

I'm not sure about that, but i do know that you have to keep the apogee verry steady or it will fluctuate PAR aswell. How was your PAR, above or under the desired PAR level?

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
